Join us for a week of outdoor photography, western culture and high adventure in the magnificent scenery of Sweet Grass County, Montana. Surrounded on three sides by the Crazy Mountains and the Absaroka-Beartooths, this is one of America’s greatest remaining unspoiled treasures. Classic films including A River Runs Through It and The Horse Whisperer were filmed here.

Where the mountains meet the plains
From the peace and solitude of nature to the excitement of an authentic, working cattle ranch, you’ll find unlimited opportunities for photography. Beyond the spectacular scenery, you’ll be able to photograph beautiful horses, genuine cowboys and all the other trappings of a working ranch. And the surrounding countryside is world-renowned for its fishing, hiking and sightseeing. You’ll also be just a short drive from Yellowstone National Park. Non-photographers are welcome, too... there’s lots
to do around the area!

Lengendary hospitality
This private tour is based at the beautiful WD Ranch in Melville, MT, owned by the gracious and hospitable Paul and Elli Hawks. During your stay, you’ll enjoy comfortable, spacious accommodation, and Elli is widely known for her fabulous cooking!

Expert photography instruction
The workshop is led by Nat Coalson, professional photographer, author and experienced workshop leader, and Gigi Embrechts, renowned international equine photographer and expert in ranch life.
